The client required a solution to automate the task allocation, approval and submission process for the employees.

Our challenges

Prior to the solution developed by iTool Solutions, the client faced difficulty in monitoring and tracking daily tasks allotted to 100+ employees in the company. Being in the diamond industry the role of every employee was highly cost oriented as it involved collection and delivery of diamond as well as cash. This led to following issues:

  • Inability to track daily activity of the employees
  • No access to current position of the employee at given point of time
  • Unable to validate collection & delivery data and had to rely on information provided by the employees
Client had to completely rely on the desktop solution to find out any information about the vehicles.

iTool Solutions recommended a web based admin control panel and Android mobile app. The web and mobile solution helped in following ways:
  • Ability to allocate, monitor and review daily tasks including the collection and delivery process
  • Ability to keep track of the employees’ location at any point of time
  • Location tracking of the employee helps the admin in allocating any new tasks in the same location
  • Increased credibility of the end to end activity as mobile app requires the employee to:
  • Take a photo after every collection/delivery
  • Take signature from the recipient (must do)
  • Add any extra details via audio (optional)
  • Close Loop process which allows the task to show as completed only after approval has been provided by the admin. For eg. If an employee was sent out for collection then unless he deposits the amount collected, his task is not considered as completed.
